In addition, Tobey gives the astronomy of astrology’s design and why the use of equal houses is zodiacally important. He studied and analyzed the solar Arabic parts used by the Egyptians and realized that their pattern created another hidden natal chart he named the Secondary Ascendant. His work is still relevant today since it represents the integration of traditional astrology with modern astrology that can form the basis for a new 21st century astrology.

Carl Payne Toby was the greatest mathematician/astrologer of the 20th century. I studied with him personally in the late 1970s in Tucson and his abstract thinking revolutionized my thinking. Naomi Bennett has performed a great service in making his lessons available to a new generation of astrologers,although they can be found gratis on the Web if you just Google them. Further, while the 24 lessons commonly presented are included, Carl actually wrote a total of 30 lessons, the last 6 of which are omitted in this work
They can be purchased individually on the Web. The diagrams from the original lessons have been thoroughly updated and are much improved. Buy this book or miss out on the mathematical abstraction which Tobey proved to be the basis of astrology. I have hundreds of pages of Carl's correspondence, interpretations of planets in signs, etc. that I sell to modern students. Contact me if interested.

About the Author
Dr Judy Pearson is a free spirit, pursuing all the things she loves to do. She is the Executive Director of the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists and secretary-recorder on the executive council of the National Capitol Area Naval Order of the US. She is an associate trainer with the American Hypnosis Academy, which offers continuing education in hypnotherapy and NLP to mental health professionals.

I am a book editor and I say: Buy This Book Today!

Buy this book today if you are looking for strategies to help you overcome writer's block, chunk down the huge task of writing into manageable pieces, motivate yourself to write and write everyday. This book cured me of crippling writer's block and finally got me started after so many frustrating starts and stops. I had no previous experience with NLP and was concerned it would get in the way but it is so practical and so well explained by the author that I wonder why this discipline hasn't been combined with writing before. As a book editor, there is one concept about the three roles/stages of writing (dreamer, realist and critic) that helped me to get out of my own way. I finally shifted into gear so swiftly that I sat down immediately after reading it and started writing after a dry spell of months. I am so grateful I bought Improve Your Writing with NLP and I send sincere thanks to Judith Pearson. I've read many books on writing and this is the best yet.

Affordable but not accurate

It's nice to have an affordable math book, and this one does give a good introduction to graph theory. Unfortunately, there are also mistakes (some of which REALLY should have been caught in proofreading) which could confuse someone attempting to learn graph theory from this book. (These are both in the text and in the answers provided for the problems, such as giving the wrong number for the length of a path)

There are much better Graph Theory Books

The errors in this text are unfortunate, and the presentation is not engaging. I did find that "A First look at Graph Theory" by Clark and Holton was useful and "Introduction to Graph Theory" by Chartrand and Zhang, was very readable.

Love the updates

I read this as the author posted it chapter by chapter on a popular fan-fiction site. It was good then, but I must say that the published version is so much better. I don't think she had the prologue in her online version, and it definitely helps the story. I love reading all of her stories, and I look forward to her next endeavor!

exiting and romantic pagan version of P&P

This Pride and Prejudice retelling goes beyond Austen in so many ways, it's quite unconvincing. However, that doesn't harm the story one bit. Where Jane Austen might be annoying in sticking to the social conventions of her time, Wendy Sotis uses paganism to update the characters. Elizabeth is a pagan priestess, Mary a prophetess, Lydia and Kitty are not really silly: they just act that way because of a prophesy by Mary. The contrasts between tribal (pagan) society and English society make this an interesting read where you never know what will possibly happen next even if you have read a dozen P&P variations. I loved the confrontation with Lady Catherine, for instance.

The only negative I have is that while Wendy Sotis manages to really make her version of the characters come alive, her endings are generally a bit TOO upbeat. Every thread in the story is closed with the best possible outcome, quite explicitly. However, in this particular book that didn't stop me loving the book as a whole. It's an enjoyable read.

The prologue to this novel sets the time as 1096, 30 years after William the Conqueror took charge of England. Chapter 1, however, begins in 1811 on All Hallow's Eve.
The author begins to skillfully weave the story of the Otherworld and the story of English society into a marvelously compelling whole.
I was very sorry to reach the end of this absorbing tale. It fed my need for Pride and Prejudice, and for fantasy.

WISDOM WE CAN USE!

Thought and patience. James Mayfield spells it out here in an accessible book. He fights the belief that a diet must be limited, unpalatable choices. Imagine a bodybuilding contestant enjoying ice cream and chocolate bars. Meet the author!

Refreshingly, there is no MUST-EAT MENU. "I don't know what your taste preferences are, how well you cook or what's your food budget," the author writes. He talks not of good/bad foods, but more practical foods.

His cornerstones are planning (researching details like body mass index), consistency and patience. He reminds us not to despair of a weight gain after a meal, or to go wild over a weight loss after a bathroom visit.

The hardest changes have to start with a first step. Mayfield is that step!

Even I can follow this advice

I LOVED this book. First of all, I don't diet. I love to eat. Tell me that I am limited to what I can have and that's exactly what I will crave for days and days. I am also not a very athletic person so exercising is like pulling teeth. It's been difficult for me to find a dieting book that I can truly get on board with. What I liked about this book is that it's a practical approach to dieting and getting yourself healthier and the goals aren't unattainable. If I can follow the actionable advice than anyone can. It's easy to read and follow and flows well. I don't normally pick up dieting or nutritional books but this one appealed to me and I am glad I followed through with it.

Complete guide to a flexible diet

It's not eat this or eat that. It's measure the exact amount of intake you need for the day and get it by eating what you want. There are some basic rules but overall this book teaches you how to get to your target weight by tracking how much you eat. This isn't just calorie counting but counting protein, fat, carbs, and fiber as well. It's a complete system for any weight change goal that makes sense for anybody on Earth.
